Dempsey

Hey, the boxer! Not exactly (I hear he changed his last name to Dempsey, so he could be cooler like us!). I’m still exploring those roots, and trying to validate that what I have found is true.

But what am I trying to confirm? That the Dempsey family I’m from traces itself back to the O’Dempsey clan from Ireland. The irony that my grandfather (a Fox) who thought he was Irish, wasn’t really Irish, but he married a Dempsey, who really was Irish.
